The Hoop Shades were part of a series inspired by the construction and dynamic motion of hoop skirts from the early 1900s. Whereas the Rings Sconce focuses on the framework beneath, The Hoop Shades resulted from an exploration of the intersection of framework and fabric. The moon-shaped shades diffuse light within the circle, allowing for a soft glow.
